What We Learned From Making Friends With A Group Of Dive Masters
Meeting locals is always one of the most rewarding parts of exploring new places. Sure we came to see the sites, to learn, and to explore new things… but the best way to do that is through meeting people, getting to know locals, and making friends. We find that we get so much more out of our experience this way.Continue reading What We Learned From Making Friends With A Group Of Dive Masters

One that I do have though, is that even if we don’t know our itinerary or how long we plan on staying in a given place I want one night of lodging booked before we arrive. From there we can figure out what we want to do next, but the one night is sort of a safety net.
On our second week in Malaysia and only 1.5 months into our trip, I broke my rule. Continue reading Throwing My Biggest Rule Out The Window
Our Journey From Kuala Terengganu to Pulau Perhentian Kecil
After spending two days (which really felt like three since we’d arrived at 7am after taking a 10 hour night bus from Mersing) in Kuala Terengganu enjoying the air-conditioning at the Space Inn, the food in China Town, getting some exercise by the bay, and the Monitor Lizards we found in the drains it was time to explore a new place. Next up… the Perhentian Islands, specifically Perhentian Kecil, the smaller backpacker paradise.Continue reading Our Journey From Kuala Terengganu to Pulau Perhentian Kecil
